I hate the three-tier system. It's what makes the wars worse I reckon. Yes Tae, you're a Royal, that means you have a greater possibility in linking, which means you'll have a theos, which means you'll be more powerful. Maybe.


See, a Noble could have a more powerful theos than a Royal, even though the Royal has a greater possibility of linking.




How should I explain it? Nobody really knows where we come from, we probably just evolved from ages back. But say theoretically that there are twelve pure royal families. Then members of that family would be Royal Elite. If a Royal Elite married a human, the Elite gene would take over and their child would be a Noble Elite. 


Noble Elites have at least some percentage of Royal blood. If a Noble Elite married a human and had a child, their child would still be Noble because the child has a percentage of Royal blood, however small.


Remember those twelve Royal families? Then, there are Elite who aren't Royal at all. If those Elite married a human, the Elite gene would take over and the child would only be Elite. 


You can imagine it, once an Royal Elite marries a non-Royal, another line of Royals dies. That's how our Grandfather put it. So we have to marry Royals, he keeps saying to us. The inflexible old codger.


The Royals aren't even that important, it's the theos they're really after. Like how nobody has secrets from Willow, or how Alex can devastate a territory, or how Chae can make you believe anything. 


They're the reason for wars. I mean, we are, us royals. Let me give you a scenario.


Hey honey, we've got a Royal baby, isn't he cute?
Yeah, but who's he going to marry? We need an heir.
Oh, the Asker Royals just got pregnant, in a few years, we'll kidnap their baby girl.


That's just a crude way of putting it.


But it's stupid isn't it? Cause that's probably how all the wars start.
